BARR, Kathleen (Kay) Eugenie, at Norfolk General Hospital on Monday, March 16, 2009 in her 90th year.
Beloved wife of Charles Barr and predeceased by her first husband Douglas Smith (1966). Beloved mother of Patrick Smith and his wife Sherry, their children Liz, Pam and April Hill, Jamie and his wife Kathy, their children Victoria and Christine, Eugene and his wife Evelyn and their children Kaitlyn and Jenna and daughter Kathy Baker and her husband Jim Whitney. She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Bonnie, Bill and his wife Sandy, Bob and his wife Judy and Barbara. She will also be missed by many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and especially her niece Susan and her husband David Atkins and their daughters Jennifer and Melissa. Kay was also a special friend and neighbour to Brian and Vera Axford and their children Marsha, Michelle, John and Theresa. Predeceased by her sisters Rhoda Smyth, Joy Sullivan and brother Jack Hopkins. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, March 19, 2009, 7 pm to 9 pm (evening only) at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530. A Service to Celebrate Kay's life will be held Friday, March 20, 2009 at 1 pm in the funeral home Chapel. Father Kendall Reimer officiating. Cremation to follow.
