Obituary of SAMUEL ROSS

ROSS, SAMUEL, HALLAM ROSS, Samuel, Hallam of Port Dover, passed away surrounded, by the love of his family at Norfolk General Hospital, on Thursday, June 2, 2011 in his 91st year. Cherished husband of Joyce. Loving father and father-in-law of Reginald and Nancy of Alliston and Arlene Hardy of Brantford. Proud grandfather of Jennifer Waugh and Dwayne, Letisha Dickens, Kyle Hardy, Amanda Madill and Blair and Cara Smith and Josh, and great grandfather of Kendra Waugh, Logan Waugh and Jennika Dickens. Dear brother of Margaret Jarvis of Simcoe. Sam will be fondly remembered by his neices and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Donald and George and his wife Betty and brother-in-law Philip (Jimmy) Jarvis. Sam was a a devoted family man and dairy farmer for most of his life. In later years he enjoyed fishing, carpentry and walking. He also spent several years as a snowbird at Homosassa Springs Florida. Family and friends will gather to share their memories of Sam at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, Port Dover (519) 583-1530 on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from noon to 2 pm, followed by a Service of Remembrance in the Chapel, officiating, The Reverend Father Kendall Reimer.
