WYNNE, ALAN, passed away peacefully at his home in Waterford, surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, December 23, 2011 in his 66th year. Cherished husband of Nola Burke-Wynne. Loving father and father-in-law of, Jason and Gemma and Shawn of Mississauga, Jordan and Stacey at home. Beloved son of John and Alaine Wynne of Etobicoke. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Ronald and Sue of Oakville and Robert and Carmela of Burlington, John Burke, Michelle and Dennis Misuida, Carol and John Nadalin. Al was son-in-law to Edna McKersie of Port Dover and Lois Burke of St. George. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father-in-law Brian Burke and sister-in-law Janie Burke. Al was born and raised in Toronto. He was employed in the electronic sign industry for more than 40 years. Al travelled extensively, and was privileged to have met Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and President Ronald Reagan. He was an avid sports fan, playing both hockey and baseball, also coaching his sons' teams for many years. Al loved to play golf and spent many hours perfecting his game. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends who will cherish memories of their years together. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Al at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530 on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A Service to Celebrate Al's life will be held at the Old Mill, 21 Old Mill Rd., Toronto, on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 2 pm. The Reverend Charles Sathmary officiating.
