Obituary of VINCENT SZALOKY

SZALOKY, VINCENT G. SZALOKY, Vincent G. of Simcoe, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe in his 82nd year. Dearly loved father of Joseph (Anita), Vincent Jr., and Mary (Alex) in Hungary. "Poppy" to Peter, Paul and Peti (Krisztina) in Hungary and great-grandfather "Nagypapa" to Jazmin. Also survived by Margrit Szaloki, as well as his sister Manci and nephew Jozsi in Hungary. He will be fondly remembered by his soul mate Vangie Evers. Predeceased by Alda. Vincent was an architect and enjoyed travelling. He will be fondly remembered for his wry sense of humour. Vincent wrote his autobiography several years ago. In recent years he enjoyed activities such as tai chi and dancing at the Senior Support Centre. Friends are invited for visitation to share their memories of Vincent at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530 on Friday February 10, 2012 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Parish Prayers at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church 211 Union St., Simcoe. Cremation to follow.
