VAN VUGT, JOHANNA "ANNIE"
VAN VUGT, Johanna "Annie" of Port Dover, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Norfolk General Hospital in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Theodore (2007). Cherished mother of Hank and his wife Darlene of Caledon and Leo and his wife Sandra of Richmond Hill. Dearly loved grandmother of Matthew (Brieanne), Mark (Erica), Michael, David, Bryan, Nicholas, Patrick, Christopher and Eric. Dear sister of Nel, Nes, Mrie, Jet, Mien, Stien, Dre, Cor, Door, Toon, Hein, and Wiel. Predeceased by her son Tony, and sisters Lies and Grada. Johanna and Theo immigrated to Canada on March 12, 1957. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church and the C.W.L. Annie was devoted to her family and cherished her loving grandchildren. She will be missed by her many friends and bingo players. Her family will hold dear the many memories of their time together. Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 7 pm to 9 pm (evening only) at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530. Parish prayers at 7 pm in the funeral home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11 am at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, Lynn Park Rd. Port Dover. Celebrant Father Stephen Savel. A private interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill.
