Fond Memories...
As we mourn the passing of Al Mason, there are many memories that will sustain family and friends during this sad time.
Al was a man of many talents: carpentry & woodworking and his aviation skills with his fellow flying buddies. He always had
a story to tell about growing up in Timmins, his mother’s strong work ethic, woodworking and his aviation adventures.
Al was often seen riding his mower and cutting grass (not only for himself but for others as well). In winter he would be
snow ploughing for some of his neighbours.
Al enjoyed supporting local businesses like The Erie Beach, Knechtel’s Beach House and Willie’s...basically all the places in Dover
where there was good food to be shared with family and friends.
Al maintained lasting friendships from Hamilton and Ancaster with reciprocal visits, as well as his flying buddies, Bob and Jim.
Al was lucky to have supportive neighbours like June & Rick, Beth E., and Jonda & Mary Margaret, as well as Fred & Simin.
Al was a likeable man who was loved by many, but especially his wife, Beth.
A life enjoyed !
A life well-lived !
Uncle Al, you will be missed by us all !

My sincere condolences to you Beth. My dad, Jim, was one of his flying buddies. I have fond memories of hanging out in the hanger with him, Al and Bob. Al gave me some wood floor samples when I was doing a school project and I never forgot that! He would be happy to know I have done a fair amount of woodworking myself over the years. Remembering both of you and your gentle spirits, Love Brenda (Collins) Skeoch
