The loss of my mom is extremely difficult yet I know that she is with her Lord and heavenly Father.
She was a firecracker with a joyous attitude and also not afraid to tell you how it was. You didn't want to upset her or give her a tuna sandwich because I've witnessed first hand a few times her throwing it at the server.
She endured so much with being diagnosed with schizophrenia as a teen, married to an alcoholic/abusive husband for 19 years, losing her dad in her twenties, diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in her 40's, diagnosed with small cell lung cancer 12 years ago and after being told she had 6 months to live beat it, diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago and beat it and the hardest battle was losing her wonderful boyfriend Charlie Bezzo in 2018.
One of the side effects for her cancer treatments caused her neuropathy. During those times along with having brittle diabetes she broke her wrist, shoulder and foot (all separate instances). Nothing slowed my mom down because even though she broke her foot she continued to walk and wore out 3.5 boot casts. That is incredible!
Her favourite colour was pink, she loved St. Patrick's Day because she is Irish, she loved going for walks, she loved shopping no matter how much money was in her wallet, she loved to sing and you'd always hear her singing, she enjoyed drawing, painting and coloring and most of all she loved to eat!
Thank you that I can share these memories and remember my mom. R.I.P. Mom. Love you!
