FITZGERALD, Harry of Port Dover passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 in his 79th year. Cherished husband of Phyllis. Loved step-father of Jodey Sharman of Calgary, Kerri and David Black of Ottawa and Shelley and Douglas Maberly of Guelph. Loving grandfather of Rowan, Isaac and Keith. Dear brother and brother-in-law of William and Irene of England. Uncle Harry will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Tony and Sheila Fitzgerald, Glennis and Frank Lawler, Brenda Mekwinska, Karen Bramwell and Barry and Sandra Fitzgerald all of England. Predeceased by his brother, Jack and sister, Winnifred. Harry worked for many years for Mohawk College as the Placement Officer. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #158, Port Dover. Harry loved to sing and was a member of The Gentlemen of Harmony Barbershop Chorus (Simcoe.) Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, April 26, 2010 from 7 pm to 9 pm (evening only) at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover 519-583-1530. Prayers at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 11 am at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Lynn Park Rd., Port Dover. Father Stephen Savel celebrant. Cremation to follow. For those wishing donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly apprecitated.
