Obituary of GEORGE GEYER

GEYER, GEORGE "GARTH" GEYER, George "Garth" of Fisher's Glen, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Norfolk General Hospital in his 70th year. Cherished husband of Helma. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Bruce and Cheryl, Kevin, Gary and Rhonda and Trevor and Diana. Loving papa of Dean, Matthew, Jamie, Nicholas, Maggie and Mackinly. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gail and Bob Gault, Yvonne and Dave Mason, Wayne Geyer, Laura Lynne and Ted Taylor, Sharon and Bill Melnyk, Anita Williamson, Lou Ann and Jack Anderson, Georgina Siegfries. Loved son-in-law of Erna Tischer. Will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and Marion Geyer. Predeceased by his parents George and Lucy, brothers-in-law Jim Williamson, Jim Siegfries and Manfred Tischer, sister-in-law Donna Geyer. Garth worked as an electrician for Stelco Hilton Works for more than 30 years. He was an avid woodworker and spent countless hours perfecting his craft. He enjoyed a game of golf whenever possible. His family will miss him and cherish their memories of their years together. A Service to Celebrate Garth's life will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 1 pm. Father Kendall Reimer officiating. Cremation to follow.
