My deepest symphathies for the family of Rodger Kotanko. I was a customer many years back and so happy with his excellent workmanship. He was a real gentleman and so shocked that he was taken just like that in a sad way......
RIP....Rodger... Our Prayers for you and your family...May you get the correct justice system for senseless shooting..

What a tragic unnecessary loss of a super great guy. Rodger had done work for me and what
an awesome gunsmith and spent time chatting with him. So easy going extremely hard to understand
how this could of happened. My sincere condolences to his family.

The wider community is absolutely heartbroken to hear about the loss of Rodger. We can’t imagine the pain that the Kotanko family is feeling right now. I wanted to write and let Rodger's family and friends know that you are all in my prayers. I realize that there are no words that anyone could write or say given the shocking scale of what happened, but please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your loved one. I’m so sorry for your loss. RIP RWK. - Tahbit Chowdhury @Tahbit

Condolences to the family of Rodger Kotanko. The firearms community has suffered a tremendous loss. Rodger was very likely one of the best, if not the best gunsmiths on Earth and a valuable source of information. He did work on some of my historical antique pieces and the workmanship was exceptionally flawless. Rodger took great care to abide by the law being in the firearms business and he cannot be replaced. He will certainly be missed.

Dear family of Rodger KOTANKO. I first met Rodger about six weeks ago, when I attended his business for repairs. I spent about an hour with him, talking business and getting to know him. From what I learned of this man, he certainly did not deserve what happened to him. I found him very likeable and in my opinion, a professional and certainly a gracious individual. As a retired police officer from the town of Ingersoll, I am bewildered and extremely upset with what transpired.
I would like to offer my condolences to the entire family. I am very sorry that the organization that has sworn to serve and protect did not live up to their own promises.
Lionel Ulrich, former Inspector, Ingersoll Police Force.

I met Rodger in 2002 a very impressive man, he worked on a few of my firearms helping me become the proficient shooter in my sport of IPSC. He was a gentleman and took the time to explain everything he did. I enjoyed every occasion I had the pleasure to speak with him. My sincerest condolences to your family. Rest In Peace my friend. God speed
