Obituary of Betty Barnes

BARNES, Betty  passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning June 15, 2022 at Dover Cliffs LTC in her 98th year. Dear mother of Robert Bradley and Brian Ernest (Corrine Puddy). Proud Grandmother of Shanlea (Cameron) Tyler and Fletcher Barnes. Great -grandmother of Laikyn and Weston Tyler and Bennett and Clark Barnes. Fondly remembered by her niece Pam Harrington, nephews Douglas and Allen Steen and brother-in-law Bill Bailey. Sadly missed by her good friends Andrea Simpson, Marium Dowds and  co-worker Janice Lally. Predeceased by her parents Milton and Lillian Mummery and sisters Marion and Norma Mummery. Betty was born in Wallaceburg and lived in Chatham.  Betty was employed at the County of Kent, Chatham Treasurer department for over 24 years.  She moved to Port Dover to enjoy her retirement with her Grandchildren. She enjoyed  golfing,  baking pies, cookies  and making her famous wine.  Betty had a beautiful life and she will be missed. Online condolences can be made at www.thompsonwatersfuneralhome.ca
