Celebration of Life
Obituary of Ed Gulley
GULLEY, James "Ed"
It is with incredible sadness the family announces the passing of Ed Gulley on October 27 th , 2022 with
loving family by his side. He fought hard and with pride and a stubbornness only his family would
understand and appreciate. Predeceased by his parents Wilmer and Thelma, his brothers Barry and
Dave, and sister in-law Mary and Jill. Beloved husband of Jean and cherished father to Jaime, Steven
(Melissa), James and Amy. Ed leaves behind his brothers and sisters Ray (June), Glen, Joe (Pansy), Paul
(Doris), Donald (Pat), Lynda (Jim), Susan, Stewart (Shelly), Dianne, Sandy (Mike), sister in-laws Joanie
(John), Jane (Brian) and Kim. Ed will be sadly missed by his Grandchildren Jacob, Kennedy, Jade, Teagan,
Draven, Lexi and Max who adored him. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews,
cousins and close friends. Special thanks to C.B.I. nurse Elana who took wonderful care of both Ed and
his family during this difficult time. Ed loved being surrounded by his family, especially his
“grandkiddies” who kept alive the kid in him. He loved bluegrass and classic rock music, spending
winters in Florida with his wife traveling and going to bluegrass events, and had a love for motorcycles.
He took great pride in his many years as a Boilermaker and was one of the best there ever was or will be
as indicated by his many Boilermaker Brothers. He was incredibly well respected, thought of with the
highest regard, willing to help anyone in need and always just “happy to be there.” Ed took pleasure in
the little things like cutting the lawn, driving around the golf cart or watching a game with Jeanie. Family
and friends are invited to celebrate Ed’s life Friday November 4, 2022 at Port Dover Legion (212 Market Street E) from 1-5 pm. Words of remembrance will be held at 2pm. Rev. Brian Elder officicating. Arrangements have been entrusted to THOMPSON
