Obituary of Lois Kathryn Porteous

PORTEOUS, Lois Kathryn (nee Gibbons) passed away
peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday October
29, 2022 in her 89th year. Loving wife of Ken Porteous of
Port Dover. Dear mother of Pamela (John) Beresford of
Port Dover, Rob (Sue) Ryerse of Port Dover, Beth (Tim)
Ryerse of Port Dover, Kathryn (Alf) Wilkinson of Simcoe
and Margaret Ryerse (Pat) of Port Dover. Caring
stepmother of Murray (Jennifer) Porteous of Simcoe,
Lorraine (Ray) Vogel of Waterford and Tena Mash of
Clinton. Proud grandmother of Jo-Anne, Jeff, Jim,
Matthew, Holly, Laura, Jeremy, Alex, Ryan, Katy, Sam,
Aiden, Aaron, Isaac, Lydia, Joel, Brad, Leah and Ryan.
Great-grandmother of Laikin, Noah, Paityn, Liam, Logan,
Jack, Maya, Olivia, John, Collin and many other great and
great-great grandchildren. Sadly missed by her siblings
David (Carol) Gibbons of Branchton, John (Marilyn)
Gibbons of Cambridge and sister-in-law Shirley Gibbons
of Port Dover. Predeceased by her parents Horace and
Lily Gibbons and brother George Gibbons. Lois was a
member of the St. Paul's Anglican Church choir and club,
Vittoria choir and the Carillon Belles. She also helped by
giving her time to the Simcoe Panorama. In her spare
time, she enjoyed needle work and knitting. A  private family 
service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church. Port Dover.

A celebration of Lois’ life will be held at a later date.
