Lori, Doug and family: I only met Chris briefly and certainly felt a sense of shy, gentle kindness from him. He was a warm, polite soul and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family and friends close to Chris...I knew him as a student at SCS, and my colleagues and I are just heartsick to hear this devastating news. Chris was a sweet, intelligent, quiet-but-always-thinking young man. He was never unkind or rude to his fellow students or his teachers, rather he was respectful and humble and kind. While processing his loss, I'm remembering Chris as a wide-eyed teenager with a smile on his face, taking everything in, for this is what I recall from the ten-day school trip to Italy, France & Spain he joined his classmates + Madame Defreyne and me on in 2016. Again, my sympathies to all his heartbroken people; may lovely memories of time spent with Chris help sustain you.

This is very difficult to see; Chris was a special student for me at SCS. I had the honour of teaching him several times and I was so happy that he chose to come with us on our trip to France.
