Obituary of Ken Ivey
IVEY Kenneth of Port Dover, passed unexpectedly at his home on February 2nd 2023 in his 80th year. Ken will be sadly missed by his son Bob (Sara) and his daughter Terri (Scott). Groovy stepfather to Emily and Tom. Loving grandfather to Haley (Richard), Jesse, Hayden (Maddie), Clyde and Hunter. Great Papa to Wyatt, Carter and Theo. Cherished brother to Jamie. Ken leaves behind his great friends from the good old days Bob and Collette Acres, Bruce Milner ,his best buddy Tweet and Lois, dear friends Murray and Adrienne Pursley, and many other great friends and extended family. Predeceased by parents Donald and Marjorie. As a teen his first car club was in Port Dover called-The Hurricams he also was a member of The Time Travellers and the Brantford Piston Pushers, and Ontario Nostalgic Drag Racers. Ken started drag racing in his early 20s and he continued to race until he was 78 years of age. His love of old cars infected many friends and family. He was pretty happy to have his grandson be able to watch him race and get "the bug." Friends and family are invited to share memories of Ken Tuesday February 7, 2023 for Visitation from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME. 102 First Ave Port Dover (519)583-1530. A funeral service will be held Wednesday February 8, 2023 at Thompson Waters Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00pm.
