Obituary of Larry Cable

CABLE Larry, A life long resident of Vittoria, Larry passed away peacefully at Dover Cliffs Long Care Nursing home on Thursday July 13, 2023 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Mary Cable (nee Krouse) of Vittoria. Loving father of Greg Cable (Becky) of Port Dover and Lisa Hamill (Adam) of London Ontario. Cherished grandfather of Ally, Izzy and Emma. Larry will be sadly missed by his sister Judy Porter (Peter) and sisters-in-law Carol Payne (Allan) and Ida Krouse. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ray and "Babe" Cable, father and mother-in-law Lorne and Alice Krouse and brother-in-law David Krouse. Larry's background was tobacco farming but in his early years became a chef which led to hobbies of cooking, entertaining, and gardening throughout his life. Larry also worked at Grand River Paints in Simcoe but with most of his working career spent at the Nanticoke Power Generation facility in Nanticoke. Cremation has taken place with a Family Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME Port Dover 519-583-1530. The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude for the care and compassion given to Larry by the facility and staff at the Dover Cliffs over the last year.
