Obituary of ROBERT KELLEY

KELLEY, ROBERT KELLEY, Robert of Port Dover passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Bonnie (nee Wardell). Cherished father and father-in-law of Candace and Martin Mannen and Bobbi Lyn and Brian Mannen both of Port Dover. Proud and loving grandfather of Samantha and Taylor. Dear brother of Carol Ann Cobby of Tilbury. Will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephew, cousins and extended family of Lou VanSickle (and the late Jim VanSickle). Predeceased by his parents Robert and Helen Kelley, brother Gary. Bob was a 45 year resident of Port Dover and felt he may now be considered a local. He had a back hoe business for some years before he started working for the Town of Port Dover. Bob was employed by Ontario Hydro for several years and with a career change he started as an owner/operator driving truck for International Freight Systems. He was a former member of the Port Dover Lions Club, the Port Dover Fire Department and the Yacht Club. Friends are invited to meet with the family to share their memories of Bob on Friday, September 10, 2010, 7 pm to 9 pm (evening only) at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519) 583-1530. A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 11 am at Grace United Church (Chapman & St. George Sts.) The Reverend Murray Rounding officiating.
