One of the warmest and most welcoming people I have ever known. Helene and Bill opened their home to me as part of Joey's (and eventually Will's, too) heavy metal band, where we practiced and shook the windows of their front room for hours on end every week.
It is apt that the header image on this page is baking supplies; Helene was always ready to make us grilled cheese and tomato soup for when band practice was over. She was always pleased to welcome bands we were touring with to the house, whether from Hamilton, Connecticut, or Utah. She always sent us and the other bands with food and warm drinks, like a mom sending her kids to school. I will never forget those days.
Helene was always sure to ask how you were doing, even when she was sick, and ensured that you knew you were welcome back any time...and to bring an appetite.

She liked to get out of the house and would make the 66km round trip to visit us as recently as Aug

Emily, Will, and Joey,
We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. I have wonderful memories of her and the time we spent in the summer and holidays with all of you when we were growing up! She was always so kind and did whatever she could to make us feel welcome. She showed a genuine interest in each of us and I'll always remember the sound of her wonderful laugh. So sorry we're unable to share more memories in person at her visitation but please know you will be in our thoughts and prayers.
