Obituary of John Alec Macaulay
John Alec Macaulay peacefully passed away on November 8, 2023 in his 87th year. He was surrounded by family and love, starting a new journey to be with the Lord and his loving Wife of 48 years Diane. John was a primary teacher for over 30 years at Port Dover Public School. He was a proud and dedicated father to his daughter Janet. After his retirement, John and Diane enjoyed spending time in the winter months at their home in Homosassa Springs, Florida. When back at home in Port Dover, John had a lawn care business that kept him busy. John is predeceased by his wife Diane, brother Gordon, brother-in-law Harold, sister-in-law Doris and best friends Jim Pepper and Ron Bush. Survived by his daughter Janet, brother Donald Macaulay, sister Jean Elliott and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, godchildren and many many loving family and friends and two granddogs. Special thank you to all the caregivers at Dover Cliffs Long Term care.
