Obituary of Bob Fidlin

Bob passed away suddenly as the result of a car accident on January 9, 2024 at the age of 81.  Cherished husband and best friend to Lynda Barlow.  Proud Dad and Grandpa to Richard Cunningham (Marie) and their daughter Jenessa, Robert Dean Fidlin (Stephanie) and their children Deanna, Christopher and Ali, Susan Perreault (nee Fidlin) (Mike) and their children Justin (Melanie) and their son John and daughter Layla, and Erika (2016), and to Lynda’s children, Melanie Barlow and Leigh- Ann MacPherson and her children Aiden, Keir and Olivia.    Bob is fondly remembered by his siblings, Ron Fidlin (Colleen), Barbara Fidlin, June Jeffery and Jim Fidlin (Dianne), and was an amazing uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, John and Grace Fidlin and by his siblings Frank Fidlin, John Fidlin, Shirley Hurst and Gail Thompson.Bob was a career Firefighter with Mississauga Fire & Emergency Services.  After retirement, he and Lynda settled in Port Dover, enjoying small-town life.  A funeral service will be held at Thompson Waters Funeral Home 102 First Ave Port Dover.
