Obituary of Douglas Duncan Clapp

CLAPP Douglas Duncan passed away peacefully on Saturday February 10, 2024 at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home in his 100th year. Dear father of Douglas (Marjorie) of Port Dover, Linda (Victor) Robinson of Stevensville, Peg (Lindsay) Hedderson of Whitby, and Kathleen (Darryl) Toupkin of Phoenix Arizona. Loving grandfather of 8 grandchildren and their spouses, and 19 great grand children. Predeceased by his wife Helen, after over 77 years of marriage, his parents Ross and Marjorie, brothers Ross (Joan), Howard (Dora) and sisters Marion (Bert) Schedewitz and Mary (Stan) Osborne. Douglas was an avid reader but his true passion was playing golf, which he did until he was 90. Not only did he play, Doug also helped in the original design, construction and maintenance of what is now known as the Port Dover Golf Club. There will be a private family service, with arrangements entrusted to THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME 519-583-1530.
