Obituary of Marty Forsyth

FORSYTH, Alexander Martin "Marty", passed away at his home in Port Dover on June 7, 2024 in his 87th year. Loving fiancé of Elaine Hales. Predeceased by his wife Donna (2010). Cherished father and father-in-law of Barry (Bev), Brian (Brenda), Dwayne (Connie), and Sonya (Wilm). Dear grandfather of Jennifer, Adam, Jordan, Kyle, Dylan, Abigail, Kristen, and Matthew, great-grandfather of Karma, Kane and Cyrus. Predeceased by his parents Hilton and Nellie. Marty was a very active member of the Port Dover community, he was a long-time member and Past President of the Port Dover Lions Club, being honoured by receiving the Melvin Jones Fellow Award for dedication to humanitarian services. He was a member of the Port Dover Royal Canadian Legion Branch #158. Marty was a member of the Simcoe Gentlemen of Harmony and was a part of a quartet for many years. He was a long-time crane operator for Nadrofsky Steel Erecting and an instructor for Construction Safety Association of Ontario. A graveside service will be held to honour Marty's life on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 1 pm at Port Dover Cemetery Columbarium. The Reverend Brian Elder officiating.
