Obituary of ESTHER PICKARD

PICKARD, ESTHER HELENE PICKARD, Esther (Helene) (nee Rose) of Port Dover passed away at Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Arnold (2001). Cherished and loving mother and mother-in-law of Dave and Joyce, of Port Dover, Wally and Annette of Simcoe and Dorothy and Larry Guthrie of Simcoe. Dearly loved grandmother of Arlene Guthrie, Karen Hallema (George), Melissa Piccioni (Jarrod), Charles (Kelly), Mitch (Shawna), Boone, Angie Long (Tim), Brody (Kayleigh) and great grandmother of Kristyn, Natalie and Caroline Hallema, Isabelle and Emma Piccioni, Gracen Pickard and Hallea and Hunter Long. Much loved sister-in-law of Betty, Dana and Clara. Predeceased by her son Doug and brothers Douglas, Dean and Robert and sister Regina Curran. Helene was a former volunteer of Woodhouse Cubs and Scouts, a member of Woodhouse United Church and the U.C.W. She was also a member of the Silver Lake Rebekah Lodge # 150. Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 2 pm to 4 pm & 7 pm to 9 pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 102 First Ave., Port Dover 519-583-1530. A Rebekah Service will be held at the funeral home Friday at 6:45 pm. A Service to Celebrate Helene's life will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 11 am.
