I had the pleasure of knowing Bob since my first year at the Port Dover Tennis Club. Last tennis season, I was fortunate enough to play with him, and from the very first time we met, Bob was someone I immediately considered a friend. He had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcome and included, often inviting me to play tennis with him even before my skills matched his.
Bob's generosity and kindness were truly exceptional. He was a person of great character, always ready with a word of encouragement and a smile. His passion for tennis was matched only by his warmth and friendliness, and he had a way of bringing out the best in those around him.
His presence on and off the court will be greatly missed, but the memories of his kindness and friendship will remain with us always.
