Obituary of Pat Park

PARK, Patricia "Pat" Margaret (nee Wight) passed away suddenly at her home in Port Dover on August 22, 2024 in her 74th year. Beloved wife and soulmate of Leonard Park for almost 53 years. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Jacob (Jake) Park and Karen Maiden, Sam Park and Sara Kirkwood. Loving grandmother of Kyla, Ronnie and Miloh. Pat is survived by her sister Carol, brothers Don and John, as well as many other extended family and dear friends (Marie Valentine). Pat was predeceased by her dearly loved son Jacob, her parents Wilfred and Dorothy Wight, and her brother Peter Wight. Pat had a unique style and vibrant personality. She was very social and spent many years working as a hairdresser. She loved people and enjoyed visiting and chatting with anyone she met along the way. She loved shopping, the beach and being in the sun. Pat was not a judgmental person and treated everyone with respect. She was like a second mom to many of Jake and Sam’s friends as they grew up and was always very welcoming. Pat always took time to stop and smell the flowers. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family; they will hold dear the precious memories of her. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Port Dover Legion on Saturday October 12, 2024 between 1- 4 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME 519-583-1530.
